No wood is used to produce a Bullfrog Spa. The base is made of ABS, the support columns are injection molded Z-Beams and the cabinet is a beautiful synthetic wood. Because the components are molded to an exact size, waste is significantly reduced. Any excess material can be recycled and reused. The support backing material of a Bullfrog Spa shell is not fiberglass which means its production does not release any harmful air pollutants into our environment. Bullfrog Spas are so energy efficient that all models comply with the stringent California Energy Commission requirements without any hot tub modifications.

The greatest factor to determine spa energy consumption is how well a spa can retain the heat it creates. Bullfrog Spas are built with 100% closed-cell, full-foam insulation to maximize protection against heat loss. Other high-end spas may boast this feature, but a Bullfrog Spa recycles much of the heat that would be lost in a conventional spa. In a conventional spa, water is heated and travels to the spa via a long series of pipes. Along its journey, hot water loses heat, which escapes under the spa and is wasted - even in full-foam spas.

Bullfrog Spas are different. Up to 90% of the plumbing is on the JetPak, submerged in the hot water. Any heat escaping through the pipe is transferred into the spa water, heating the spa and recycling energy. Bullfrog Spas also recycle energy by using warm air from the equipment compartment to heat the water in the spa, rather than using cold air outside the spa as is the case with many other spas. These unique energy-saving features will keep monthly power bills surprisingly low!

Less plumbing means more power!

Every spa in the world uses long networks of pipe to carry water from the pumps to the jets. Many of these conventional spas use diverter valves to shut down half of the spa in order to give the necessary jet power to the other half. This is a huge inconvenience.

Bullfrog Spas are different! We threw away all traditional plumbing designs including diverter valves and using the JetPak System, eliminated up to 90% of the plumbing.

As shown in the illustrations above, less plumbing results in less friction being applied to
anything traveling through the pipe, whether it be air or water. With up to 90% less
plumbing in a Bullfrog Spa, the water flow is much stronger, resulting in a spa that can run all jets in all seats at full power at the same time. No more robbing jet power from fellow bathers!

The only spa with a truly watertight story!

To install jets in a conventional spa, holes are drilled into the spa shell. Each jet becomes a potential leak point as the integrity of the shell has been compromised. Such leaks can waterlog the underside of the spa causing serious damage.

Bullfrog’s exclusive LeakGuard design provides unmatched security against leaks. Jets are fitted into removable JetPaks instead of being drilled into the spa shell. The shell remains intact and watertight! All JetPak plumbing is contained within the spa; therefore if a leak did occur, it would be contained inside the walls of the spa where
it would not cause damage. If service is ever needed, plumbing is easily accessed behind each JetPak. No other spa offers this much peace of mind.
